A replacement part, a simple model or a short recording can be enough reason to explore a makerspace. Westfield Washington Public Library’s Annie Gotwald Makerspace and STEM Lab gives residents access to creative technology without requiring them to begin with a large project.
The library lists 3D printing, recording resources and other tools, with charges for materials. Its posted PLA printing rate is five cents per gram. Equipment availability and the help a project needs should be discussed with staff before treating an idea as ready to produce.

Makerspace open hours differ from general library hours. Contact makerspace@wwpl.lib.in.us to ask about booking time, preparation and current rules at the library, 17400 Westfield Boulevard. Describe what you want to make and bring dimensions or a small sample file if relevant.
For a first visit, choose one result you can explain in a sentence. Ask how to test it, save your work and estimate materials before committing to a larger version. Learning what a tool can do is useful progress even when the first design needs another attempt.
